This unit focuses on informational reading with a focus on text structures as well as research and expository writing with a focus on writing the cause and effect text structure. The essential questions explored are: How does the Earth change? How doe people impact the Earth's land?

This unit focuses on informational and literary reading with an exploration of historical documents and multiple perspectives.
